Video Deal: Season One of Orphan Black is Free to watch this Friday

Amazin is making the first season of Orphan Black free to watch for everyone this Friday only. On April 17th between 12:01 a.m. PT and 11:59 p.m. PT, you won’t need a Prime membership to watch all 10 episodes of the first season. Amazon is the exclusive home for seasons one and two of BBC America’s Orphan Black. Season three will premiere this Saturday, April 18th at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America, AMC, IFC, Sundance TV, and WE TV.

Orphan Black stars Tatiana Maslany as an outsider and orphan whose life changes dramatically after witnessing the suicide of a woman who looks just like her. While trying to find out more about a woman who looks just like her, she takes her identity, her boyfriend and her money. But instead of solving her problems, the street-smart chameleon is thrust headlong into a kaleidoscopic mystery.

Didn’t they just say a couple months ago that they were no longer interested in leasing content from BBC? Something about wanting “exclusive” and “original” content was the excuse. Why even bother promoting a show that your service isn’t going to continue distributing?

–now that’s how you syndicate :-D Remind me to hire these folks if I ever decide to pitch a show idea.
