TP-LINK Smart Plug is $17.95 through Alexa-exclusive deal

Amazon has added a new batch of Alexa-exclusive Deals for their Cyber Monday sale. One of the best deals among them is the TP-LINK Smart Plug for $17.95. This price isn’t as good as when it was $15 as an Alexa deal during Prime Day, which sold out very quickly, but it’s the second best price I’ve ever seen for this plug. The TP-LINK Smart Plug allows you to control anything you plug into it through Alexa or a smartphone app. It does not require a central hub or anything else to work, so it’s a great first smart home product to buy.

Has anyone had luck with this? I’ve tried asking my Echo for this in several variations and it never finds this specific item. It keeps routing me to a light switch or nothing at all.

Oh, yes.. I have 3, and they work beautifully! Only problem I had With the first plug.. I needed to turn on the “remote” in the Kasa plug app. Then Alexa was able to detect the devise with no problem at all. Great product!

I tried for about 20 minutes on my fire TV. It keept bringing up the switch, when it asked if I wanted to order, I would say “no, next” and it finally brought up the plug for $13.77 I kid you not, that was the total on my email confirmation!

I tried another few minutes to order another one, with the same way as above, and I could only get it to come up one more time after getting around the switch first, but I only got a price of $26.53. Pretty interesting, really glad I was persistent tho.

Still not that easy to just say the trigger phrase and get what your trying to get to, at least for the TP Link smart plug, who knows what their servers are up to?!
