This week there were 22 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. Alpha Guns 2 was the only game released this week, but it’s a notable one. It’s the sequel to the fairly popular Alpha Guns where you blast your way through aircrafts, tanks, and bosses. If you own an HDHomeRun network TV tuner, you’ve got to check out the new Channels app. It provides a great new interface to view your OTA channels and several features not available in the official HDHomeRun app. Citizens Fiber customers can now access their streaming content on Fire TV devices thanks to their newly released app. The next time you’re having friends over, you might want to consider giving Mob Dj TV a try. New Apps for the Week of January 28th thru February 3rd

This week there were 28 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. I released a new version of by Bookmarker app made specifically for YouTube. There were also a couple more YouTube clients released this week called TubePlus for YouTube and vTube for YouTube. A new streaming service called VRV arrived this week with content that includes anime, gaming, animation, sci-fi, fantasy, and horror. This week there were 36 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. TvExplorer is an all new file explorer made specifically for television boxes and sticks. In addition to your usual file manager features, it has a WiFi sharing feature that lets you easily transfer files on and off the device. Canadian customers will be happy to see that CraveTV has brought their streaming service to the Amazon Fire TV Stick Basic Edition. New Apps for the Week of January 14th thru the 20th

This week there were 27 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. Mobile Tube is a popular YouTube app that has just added support for Fire TV devices. I still believe using the older version of the official YouTube app is the best way to watch YouTube on a Fire TV device, but this new app might be a good alternative. Deckchair.com TV is a new app for watching upto the minute timelapses from around the world. YouIpCams looks to be an app for viewing your personal IP cameras if you have one that doesn’t support Alexa. Lastly, StopAd is the first ad blocker to be released for the Fire TV. This week there were 21 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. Some highlights include a new PAC-MAN game called PAC-MAN Championship Edition has been released. Sokoban is a new game that might look simple and rudementary on the surface, but it’s a classic puzzle game that should keep you busy for quite a while with its 154 levels. DIRECTV NOW has released a new Beta App for those who are part of their early access program. YesPlayer appears to be a simple media player, similar to VLC, that might be worth looking into if you don’t need library management, like in Kodi. YesPlayer boasts subtitle support and a simple UI. This week there were 23 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. As you should expect fromt he last week of the year, there weren’t too many notable apps released. A streaming service called Big Star TV has released a series of genre apps for their various content. The apps have free content, but the service costs $4.99 per month if you want to access to the entire library. This week there were 34 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. The most significant among them is easily the Firefox browser. Along with the Silk Browser, which is now available on all devices globally, you now have two very good web browsers available on the Fire TV. Stunt Extreme is a new free game from top developer Render Ideas that’s worth checking out. REELZ is a new streaming service “that is home to factual entertainment.” The service costs $3.99 per month and has a 7-day free trial. New Apps for the Week of December 10th thru the 16th

This week there were 58 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. The Little Acre is a unique indie adventure game that has received postivie reviews on PC and has now been ported to mobile platforms. Adventures Story 2 is another game that has revieced success on other platforms and has now come to the Fire TV this week. It has over a million downloads on other devices with a 4+ star reviews. Moving on to entertainment apps, we’ve got the release of AirTV this week that lets you watch local prodcast channels from their new network OTA tuner. Speaking of local channels, Scripps Media has released 21 local news apps this week for their various channels accross the US. Many of them offer free live streams. For the kids, we’ve got the arrival of a new LEGO TV app with a large collection of free videos featureing their various toys and characters.
