This week there were 21 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. Contradiction is a unique new game with a free version to try before buying the full version. It’s a video murder mystery game where you watch live action video interviews to determine who’s lying and solve a murder. Crunchyroll is the most popular Anime streaming service and it is finally available on Fire TV devices. The app offers limited free content with ads and a $6.95 per month premium subscription to access all of their content ad-free. Crunchyroll brings their massive Anime streaming service to the Amazon Fire TV

Crunchyroll has finally brought their Anime streaming service to the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. This is one of the staple streaming services that has been missing from Fire TV devices for far too long. They offer over 25,000 episodes of Anime and Asian dramas, plus a collection of Manga comics. Many shows are available through the service just 1 hour after their TV broadcasts. Crunchyroll offers some of their content for free with ads. For access to all content without ads, they offer a $6.95 per month premium membership, which you can try for free for 14 days.

Contradiction video murder mystery game makes Android debut on the Fire TV

Contradiction is a very unique murder mystery game that just arrived on the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. The game uses live-action video for the entirety of the game play, which involves interviewing characters and spotting their lies to solve a murder. It was funded through a successful Kickstarter campaign which resulted in a release on iOS, where it has earned a 4.5 star rating, and a release on Steam, where it has been 97% positive reviews from over 1,000 reviewers. It’s now making its Android debut on Fire TV devices. The game offers 8 hours of gameplay and you can try a free version before committing to buy the full version. It’s compatible with all Fire TV models except the 2nd-gen Fire TV Stick, but hopefully that is just a listing error and will be resolved. The game works with either a remote or game controller.

New Apps for the Week of February 12th thru the 18th

This week there were 27 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. The most notable game is PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX. It’s an all new official PAC-MAN game from Bandai-Namco that has over 100 levels. Any fans of the classic PAC-MAN game should definitely check it out. Another interesting app released this week is myTuner Radio, along with its paid sister app, myTuner Radio Pro. The app provides access to over 30,000 radio stations from 120 countries. New HDHomeRun app released for Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick

The folks at SiliconDust have released their new HDHomeRun app for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. The old “green” app dropped off the appstore a few months ago, so it’s good to finally see an app return. For those of you not familiar with HDHomeRun, it’s a line of networked tuners that allow you to watch over-the-air or cable television through any number of devices, including the Fire TV. You just connect a device like the HDHomeRun CONNECT to an HD antenna and your home network, then its channels become accessible through their various apps, which include a Kodi add-on and Plex channel. You can also use HDHomeRun’s software, which runs on most popular NAS devices, to record content like a DVR.

This week there were 19 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. BlastZone 2 Lite, which is a free version of BlastZone 2 has been released this week for you to try the game before commiting to buy the full version. It’s a side scrolling space ship shooter with numerous mission campaigns, game modes, ships, and weapons. The United States Marine Corps have released an official app with videos, photos, and a live stream of events. The YouMap Dial Receiver app has been re-released this week to act as a universal app to recieve DIAL video streams from phone and tablet apps.
