Amazon’s lineup of Prime Exclusive Phones is constantly growing and the newest member is the LG Stylo 4. If you’re a fan of the Samsung Galaxy Note but are off-put by its price tag, the LG Stylo 4, at just $249.99, might be right up your alley, as it’s among the most affordable big phones with a built-in stylus pen. Prime members save $50 off the regular $300 price in exchange for the phone coming pre-installed with Amazon apps. The phone has a 6.2″ screen with 2160×1080 resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a Snapdragon 1.8GHz octa-core CPU, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of storage that is expandable to 2TB through its microSD card slot. Around back is a 13 MP camera and it has a 5 MP front camera with a flash on both. It has a 3,300 mAh battery and USB Type-C fast charging. It’s running Android Oreo that has been customized with stylus features, such as being able to immediately start taking notes on the locked screen by simply pulling out the stylus. The LG Stylo 4 is available now, unlocked, and is compatible with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
The Motorola Moto G6 has just gone on sale for $259.99 for Prime Day. This is a new Prime Exclusive version of the Moto G6 that comes with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM instead of the usual 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM found in the usual Moto G6 phone. The Moto G6 launched just over a month ago and is one of the hottest affordable phones out right now. It packs in a Snapdragon 450 1.8 GHz octa-core CPU, 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear cameras, 8 MP front camera with flash, 5.7″ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 3,000 mAh battery, microSD card slot, and fingerprint sensor. Amazon has added two new phones to their lineup of Prime Exclusive Phones which are available to Prime members at a discount because they come pre-installed with Amazon’s suit of apps. It packs a 5.7″ screen, 32GB of storage, 3GB of RAM, Snapdragon 450 1.8 GHz octa-core processor, 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera, 8MP front camera, 3,000 mAh battery, microSD card slot, and Android 8.0. it’s available in black or oyster blush (rose gold) and works with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. The second phone is the LG K30 for $139.99. It comes with a 5.3″ screen, 16GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, Snapdragon 425 1.4 GHz quad-core processor, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, 3,000 mAh battery, microSD card slot, and Android 7.1. It’s only available in black and works with AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
Amazon is trying something new to entice Prime members to purchase one of their Prime Exclusive Phones. Right now, if you purchase the Moto X4 at its regular Prime discounted price of $349.99, you’ll get an Amazon Echo for free. This is the first time Amazon has ever bundled their own hardware devices with a Prime Exclusive Phone. It’s fitting that the Echo is included with the Moto X4 because it’s among the few phones that comes with hands-free Alexa capabilities. The Moto X4 was released in October and recently went on sale for the first time for $249.99 during a one day only sale. If you’re in the market for a new phone and an Echo, this is a pretty good deal.
The Moto X 4th Gen is on sale for $249.99 today only for Prime members. This is the Prime Exclusive Phone version of the Moto X4 that comes with Amazon apps preloaded but no longer has lock screen ads. The regular version of this phone is $399.99. The Prime Exclusive version has been $349.99 ever since it was released late last year, so this sale is $100 off the already discounted price. The Moto X4 is among the very few phones that feature hands-free Alexa. It packs in a Snapdragon 630 octa-core CPU clocked at 2.2GHz and a 650Mhz Adreno 508 GPU with a 1080p 5.2-inch IPS screen, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage that is expandable through a microSD slot. The phone is available in either black or sterling blue, which looks more silver than blue, and works on all major US networks. This sale ends tonight at midnight.
Amazon revealed last week that their lineup of Prime Exclusive Phones would no longer contain lockscreen ads. Existing customers that purchased one of the discounted phones have started receiving updates that remove ads on their devices as well. As Android Police reports, Amazon is now being extra diligent in making everyone happy with the change by refunding the fee paid by customers who opted to pay for ads to be removed after purchasing one of the Prime Exclusive Phones. Now that Amazon has announced that their Prime Exclusive Phones will no longer have ads on their lockscreens, updates are beginning to roll out to existing devices that removes ads. If your device hasn’t received the update and you don’t want to wait, you can remove the ads yourself by sideloading this APK file (mirror) onto your phone. It’s an official update from Amazon to the offers app that is already on your device. This APK was pulled from a Moto G5 Plus, but it should also work on other Prime exclusive Phone makes and models.
Amazon has announced that they’ll be removing lock screen ads from all of their Prime Exclusive Phones. Starting tomorrow, February 7th, all newly purchased phones in Amazon’s discount program will not contain ads or offers on the lock screen.
