The Moto E4 Plus is the newest phone to be added to Amazon’s lineup of Prime Exclusive Phones. The regular price of the phone is $179.99, but if you’re fine with seeing ads on the lock screen and are a Prime Member, you’ll save $40 and pay only $139.99. This is Motorola’s newest phone and will be released later this week on August 11th. It features a 5.5″ 720p screen, quad-core 1.4 GHz Snapdragon 427 CPU, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP rear camera, and 5 MP front camera. It has 16 GB or internal storage or 32 GB for $20 more, but both models have microSD card slots for expanding the internal space. The phone is running Google’s latest Android 7.1 Nougat operating system and is compatible with AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon networks. The Moto E4 Plus is $40 more expensive than the $99.99 non-plus Moto E4 which was released about a month ago. For the extra $40 you get a larger screen, faster CPU, better cameras, and a battery that is nearly twice as large.
The Moto G5 Plus 64GB Prime Exclusive Phone is on sale for $179.99 for Prime Day. That’s a whopping $60 off its already great price as a Prime Exclusive phone. This is for the higher end 64GB model that comes with 4GB of RAM, instead of just the 2GB on the 32GB model. This phone is compatible with all major US carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint. It is currently one of the flagship phones in Amazon’s lineup of Prime Exclusive Phones. HMD Global, the Finnish company that now owns the rights to manufacture Nokia phones, has announced that the new Nokia 6 will be coming to the US in early July. The press release says the phone will initially be sold exclusively through Amazon. There’s a distinct difference between a phone being sold exclusively on Amazon and a phone being a Prime Exclusive Phone, which is a phone that Amazon heavily discounts in exchange for adding lockscreen ads, but it’s starting to look likely that the Nokia 6 will be newest device to be offered through the Prime Exclusive Phone program. Amazon has added two brand new phones to their lineup of Prime Exclusive Phones. These are the phones which Amazon sells at a discount, in exchange for pre-loading them with Amazon apps and displaying ads on the lockscreen. The first new phone is the Moto G5 Plus for $184.99, which is $45 off the regular price. That model comes with 32GB of internal storage, but there is also a 64GB version for $239.99, which is $60 off the regular price. This phone was just announced a few weeks ago by Motorola and will be released at the end of the month. You can place a pre-order for either the Prime Exclusive version or the standard version now and have it arrive on March 31st. It’s fully compatible with all four major US carriers: AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon.
The second new phone is the Alcatel A30 for $59.99, which is $40 off the regular price. There is a CDMA version of this phone, which will work with Verizon, and a GSM version, which will work with AT&T and T-Moible, so be sure to order the correct one if you’re interested. Pre-ordering now will have the phone arrive on APril 19th.
The Moto G Play is currently on sale for $79.99 for Prime members. This is the latest phone to be added to Amazon’s Prime-exclusive phone lineup and it’s the lowest this phone has ever been. The extra $20 savings will appear during checkout. Amazon just started selling the BLU R1 HD once again this week, but at this price, the Moto G Play is not much more expensive. Also, for those of you on Sprint or Verizon who can’t use the BLU R1 on your network, the Moto G is unlocked and works with pretty much all US carriers.
It’s hard to tell if the Prime Exclusive Phones that Amazon now sells has been a success for the company. These are the phones that, in exchange for reducing the price by $50 or more, Amazon ships with lockscreen ads and Amazon apps pre-installed. Reviews for the phones have been great, with all models offered so far through the program receiving a 4.1 or better star rating, but Amazon has now dropped the BLU R1 HD from the lineup. They’re also offering the unlocked Moto G for $119.99 today only. That’s $30 off its regular Prime Exclusive price and $80 off the standard version price which doesn’t come with lockscreen ads. Amazon did add the slightly cheaper unlocked Moto G Play for $99.99 earlier this year, so it does seem like the Prime Exclusive Phone program will continue to evolve. Hopefully we’ll see other Android phone manufacturers join the program.
Amazon has added the all-new Moto G Play as the third phone they’re offering exclusively to Prime members. The Moto G Play is priced at $99.99, which is $50 off its non-subsidised version, and slots in right between the Moto G at $149.99 and the BLU R1 HD at $49.99. The Moto G Play is compatible with all 4 major US carriers and features 16 GB of storage, 2Gb of RAM, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, a 5.0″ 720p screen, and an 8 MP camera. The phone is available for pre-order today and will start shipping September 15th. Read more ›
