App Deal: Classic arcade games down from $1.99 to $1.49

Several classic arcade games have gone on sale for $1.49. The games are Galax, Galax Zero, Radiant Galaga, Meteorite Smash Classic, Meteorite Smash, and Jumping Jack. The developer of these games tells me they’ll be going back to their regular price of $1.99 in a couple days. All games are compatible with all Fire TV and Fire TV Stick models, and they all work with either a game controller or the Fire TV remote.

It has gone on sale for $3.99 a few times in the past, but has never before dropped to $1.99. I’m pretty sure this is the best selling AirPlay receiver app for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. It allows you to send video and mirror the screen from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac to the Fire TV. This app has been around since 2014 and has been receiving constant updates to keep it compatible with the latest versions of iOS, which is the most important thing to look for in an AirPlay Receiver app. It’s compatible with all Fire TV and Fire TV Stick models.

Quick Colors is a game that has just gone free for the first time. This is a casual game that tests your reaction speed. You control the color of a central point using the up, down, left, and right directional buttons and must match the color of attacking orbs to avoid damage. This is the latest game from Vector Unit, creators of extremely popular games like Riptide GP and Beach Buggy Racing. In MouseBot, you steer a four-wheeled robotic mouse through mazes full of traps and obstacles as you collect cheese to upgrade your mouse with new accessories. Apart from an Amazon promotion that included this game for free for a few days, this is the first time this game has ever dropped below its regular price of $3.00. No Gravity is a spaceship fighter game that was originally release on the PlayStation PSP. It has 31 levels and 5 different ships to master. The game Cyboid has just gone on sale for $1.99. This matches the lowest price the game has been. It is one of the few first-person shooter games available on the Fire TV and the only one with original high-speed 3D gaming, reminiscent of classic shooter games like Quake. Cyboid also offers split screen local multiplayer gaming, and it has multiple game modes and difficulty levels. The game’s developer tells me this sale is to celebrate the game’s arrival in the Google Play Store for Android TV devices. The game has also been updated with a new level. App Deal: Mezzmo media player app down from $4.80 to $1.49

The Mezzmo app for the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick has just gone on sale for $1.49. This is app was released nearly a year ago, but this is the first time it has ever dropped below its regular price of $4.80. Mezzmo is a media player app that is often forgot next to giants like Kodi and Plex. It can stream files from any DLNA / UPnP media server, so if you already have a Plex server running, you can be up and running with Mezzmo in seconds. Of course, Mezzmo does make their own server software aswell.

If you’re curious about giving Mezzmo a try, they have a free trial app you can check out before committing to buy the full version. The free version is full featured and identical to the paid app, but expires after 15 days of use. Unlike Plex, which relies on a monthly subscription model to access all features, Mezzmo just sells their software for a one-time fee with nothing else to pay later. Mezzmo is compatible with all Fire TV and Fire TV stick models.
