Amazon joins Disney Movies Anywhere cloud service

Amazon has now linked up with Disney Movies Anywhere, the cloud-based digital movie service from Disney. This means that, if you connect your Amazon account with your Disney Movies Anywhere account, purchasing Disney movies on one video service will make the movie available on the other service for free. Launched earlier this year, Disney Movies Anywhere is Disney’s effort to unify the digital purchases of their content. Prior to today, they already work with Apple’s iTunes, Google’s Play, and Walmart’s Vudu service. Today they’ve added not only Amazon, but also Microsoft. Purchasing a Disney movie, which includes Marvel movies like The Avengers: Age Of Ultron, from any of these services will unlock the movie across all platforms and apps.
