Get this Echo Input Deal
Amazon has put the The Echo Input on sale for $19.99. This matches last months sale and is the lowest price the Echo Input has ever been. The Echo Input is essentially an Echo Dot without a built-in speaker. If you plan to always have your Alexa device connected to external speakers, the Echo Input is worth considering over an Echo Dot because it is much smaller and discrete. I personally have one permanently muted and connected to my TV soundbar as an “Alexa bridge” to allow the soundbar to be part of my whole-home audio group. The small form factor lets me tuck it out of sight and the little red mute LED is much less noticeable than the red ring of a muted Echo Dot. An Echo Dot is more versatile because it can be repurposed in the future and used on its own, but if you value minimalism and just need to add Alexa to a speaker, then the Echo Input could be the better option.
Get this Fire TV Stick Deal
Discount site DailySteals is once again offering a pretty good price on Fire TV hardware through the Facebook Marketplace. They currently have the 2nd-Gen Fire TV Stick available for $14.99. It comes with the older Alexa Voice Remote, which does not have power or volume buttons, but it’s still a great deal for the latest Fire TV Stick model. I’ve never ordered from DailySteals, but it’s a bit odd that they’re selling this through Facebook and not their own website, where they do sell products. It seems like some people complain about slow shipping/delivery and no communication, but the products do seem to eventually make it out to customers.
Word of warning: A few people in the comments have chimed in about their past experience with Daily Steals. While it does seem like they do ship products out just fine, if you need to deal with customer service for something like a return, you’re probably not going to have a good experience.
Among the numerous Amazon devices that are currently on sale is the Amazon Smart Plug for $14.99. This is the first time that it has ever been offered this low on its own. It’s normally $24.99 and has been as low as $19.99 in the past, but it has never been 40% off, as it is right now. Like all other smart plugs, this allows you to control any outlet with Alexa or your smartphone. The big advantage I’ve found for Amazon’s plug, versus other smart plugs, is its ease of setup. It works through the Alexa app that you likely already have installed, so it’s nice not to need yet another app just for the plug. After plugging the Amazon Smart Plug in, your Alexa device will automatically find it and all you really need to do is give it a custom name that’s appropriate to what you plan to plug into it. All smart plugs essentially work the same way, but they’re just slightly simpler to manage when they’re controlled with an app you’re already used to using, like the Alexa app.
The $14.99 price only lasted for one day. The plug is now on sale for $19.99
As is usually the case after Amazon’s big Super Bowl ad airs, the entire lineup of Echo devices is currently on sale. The standard Amazon Echo is on sale for $69.99. This price is just $0.99 higher than Amazon’s past lowest price. The Echo Dot is on sale for $29.99, but it has been this price ever since the holidays. The better deal is buying a pair for $50. If you don’t need the superior sound quality of the new Echo Dot, the previous Echo Dot is on sale for $24.99. The Echo Dot Kids Edition is on sale for $34.99, which is the new lowest price it has ever been at 50% off. The Echo Plus is on sale for $119.99, which includes a free Philips Hue smart bulb. This deal is $10 more than Amazon’s lowest past sale. The Echo Spot is on sale for $99.99, which is $10 more than its lowest ever Amazon price, and the Echo Show is on sale for $179.99, which matches its lowest ever price on Amazon and includes a free Philips Hue smart bulb. Get this Amazon Music Deal
Amazon is offering 4 months Free of Amazon Music Unlimited to Echo device owners as part of their Super Bowl deals. This offer is supposed to be for “new subscribers only,” but if you tried Music Unlimited in the past and but are not a current subscriber, you likely will qualify for the deal. After you go through the sign up process, check the Amazon Music Subscription Settings for your account to verify when your free trial ends. It should say something like “your Unlimited subscription will renew at $0.00,” which indicates you’ll receive the extra free months.
It appears as though Amazon is offering select Fire TV owners a $10 Prime Video credit for free, according to a thread on the Slickdeals forum. Judging by the replies in the thread, this is a very limited targeted offer, meaning most people will not see the banner. For the lucky few who are selected, the above banner will appear on your Fire TV. Selecting the banner will take you to a screen with a “Redeem Now” button that prompts you to enter your Amazon username and password. After doing so, you’ll have $10 of free credit to use towards the purchase or rental of movies or TV shows from Amazon.
