Amazon currently has great deals on their various Echo models, but what makes those deals better is the ability to add a TP-Link Smart Plug Mini to any Echo purchase for just $10 more. The smart plug being offer currently costs $24.99 on its own. It has been as low as $19.99 in the past, so getting it for $10 is a great price. The smart plug allows you to control whatever you plug into it through an app and through Alexa. The bundle is available to purchase with the Amazon Echo for $79.99, Echo Dot for $39.99, Echo Spot for $109.99, and the Echo Show for $139.99. If you’ve already purchased an Echo but didn’t get the smart plug bundle, you may still have time to cancel the original order and place a new one.
The Motorola Moto G6 has just gone on sale for $259.99 for Prime Day. This is a new Prime Exclusive version of the Moto G6 that comes with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM instead of the usual 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM found in the usual Moto G6 phone. The Moto G6 launched just over a month ago and is one of the hottest affordable phones out right now. It packs in a Snapdragon 450 1.8 GHz octa-core CPU, 12 MP + 5 MP dual rear cameras, 8 MP front camera with flash, 5.7″ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 3,000 mAh battery, microSD card slot, and fingerprint sensor. The phone is unlocked and compatible with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, or Verizon. Check out my roundup of unlocked phone deals that I’ll be updating throughout the day.
When Prime Day kicked off, the main deal for the 2nd-gen 2018 Toshiba Fire TV Edition televisions was the 50-inch size for $289.99. At $110 off the regular price, it was the deal to get since the other two sizes only dropped by $30. Now, Amazon has just reduced the 43-inch size by another $50, making the 43-inch Toshiba Fire TV Edition television on sale for $249.99. At $80 off the regular price of $329.99, this is the new lowest price the 43-inch size has ever been. It’s lower than even the 1st-gen 2017 Element Fire TV Edition televisions ever reached. The 55-inch size is still $449.99, which is just $30 off the regular price. During last year’s Prime Day, Amazon hardly reduced the price of the largest 1st-gen Fire TV Edition television, so they may be doing that again and focusing sales on the smaller sizes.
Here’s a roundup of all the various Streaming Device Deals available for Prime Day. While you probably know about the obvious ones, like the Amazon Fire TV Stick for $19.99, Fire TV for $34.99, and the Fire TV Cube for $89.99, there are several different bundles available for each device deal. One example is the Fire TV + HD Antenna bundle for $39.99. Also included are non-Amazon device deals to consider, and even some from stores other than Amazon. Read more ›

As part of Prime Day, Amazon has several In-App Purchase Deals for apps in the Amazon Appstore. Among the deals is $10 Amazon Credit to any Prime member who newly subscribes to HBO Now, Showtime, AMC Premiere, Boomerang, or Daily Burn. Simply open the app on either a Fire TV or Fire Tablet and subscribe through the app. Shortly after, you’ll receive an email informing you of the $10 Amazon Credit that has been applied to your account. The terms and conditions for this promotion seem to imply that you can earn $10 for each subscription, but I’m not entirely sure if that’s the case or if you may only earn a single $10 credit. It’s also not clear if you get to keep the credit if you cancel before your free trial for the subscription is up. If you’re going to be taking advantage of the these or other in-app purchase deals, consider stocking up on Amazon Coins first and paying with those since they’re on sale as well.
Amazon is running a promotion for Prime members where you’ll receive $5 Amazon credit automatically added to your account if you purchase an Amazon gift card of $25 or more. Simply add either a Digital or Physical Amazon gift card to your cart and enter promo code GCPRIME18 at checkout. After you enter the promo code, you’ll see a “Qualifying offers” box appear on the checkout page informing you that you qualify for the promotion. A $5 credit will be applied to your Amazon account within 2 days. You may send a $25 digital gift card via email to the same address you use with your Amazon account if you want to simply get earn the free $5 credit and use the $25 gift card yourself. If you shop on Amazon regularly, this deal is essentially free money.
The Sonos One Smart Speaker is on sale for $199 for Prime Day. As if that wasn’t a good enough deal on its own, everyone who buys it will also receive a $50 Amazon Gift Card for free. That essentially makes the true price just $149, which is the new lowest price that this speaker has ever been. This deal is available for both the Black and the White versions of the speaker. If you like the idea of an Alexa controller speaker, like the Amazon Echo, but want something that sounds much better, the Sonos One is probably the best option out there.
Best Buy has just put the Sideclick Universal Remote on sale for $19.99. That’s $10 off its regular price of $29.99. The Sideclick attaches to the side of any Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, or Fire TV Stick remote to provide a column of 8 programmable IR buttons. I’m a big fan of this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking to reduce the number of remotes they use. Everything you need to use the Sideclick with any Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, or Fire TV Stick remote is included in the box, so you don’t need to worry about buying the correct attachment. The only remote that it does not work with is the Fire TV Edition television remote. The Sidelcick remote for Apple TV is also on sale for $19.99.
