Refurbished 1st-Gen Amazon Echo on sale for $64.99 — New Lowest Price Ever

Amazon’s Prime Deal of the Day is currently the Certified Refurbished 1st-Gen Amazon Echo for $64.99. This deal is only available to Prime members and will end tonight at midnight or while supplies last. This is the new lowest price that I have ever seen for the 1st generation Amazon Echo. Apart from not having an auxiliary audio out jack, the 1st-gen Echo has all the same functionality as the newer 2nd-gen Echo. The two perform and sound very similar. I personally find the 1st-gen Echo to have a crisper sound, probably due to its larger tweeter, which makes it my preferred device for podcasts and news briefs, while the 2nd-gen has a slightly richer sound, which makes it better for music. Overall, you really wouldn’t notice a difference between the two unless you heard them side-by-side.

Amazon’s flagship Fire HD 10 tablet is on sale for $99.99 — Lowest Price Ever

The Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet is on sale for $99.99. This matches the lowest price this tablet has ever been. The Fire HD 10 has only dropped below $100 once before, which was this past Black Friday. I’ve owned this generation Fire HD 10 since it launched and I think it’s the best portable media consumption device on the market. That’s thanks to the fact that, internally, it is nearly identical to the Fire TV 2. If you’re looking to be productive and get work done, you’re probably better off with an iPad, but if you want to kick back and watch a movie/show or just browse the web, it’s hard to beat the Fire HD 10 for the price. At $99.99, I called the Fire HD 10 the most underrated deal this past Black Friday. Now that it’s back down to this great price, it still holds up as a steal. That’s probably why it’s already backordered.

Amazon now offers $15 off when you buy a pair of Fire TV Sticks

Amazon just started a new promotion where you can save $15 when you buy two Amazon Fire TV Sticks using promo code 2PACK. While Amazon has commonly offered discounts when buying multiples of other devices, like Echos and Fire tablets, this is the first time they’ve offered a similar discount for a Fire TV device. The Fire TV Sticks come to $32.49 each with this promotion, which is just an okay deal since we’ve seen several sales recently where the Fire TV Stick has been $29.99. One thing to keep in mind is that Amazon will occasionally allow these multiple purchase discounts to be applied while the device is already on sale. So the next time the Fire TV Stick goes on sale, be sure to check if this promotion still applies if you purchase two at a time.

Amazon currently has Baby Driver available to rent for $0.99. Other $0.99 rental deals also include Mother!, Into the Wild, The Monster Squad, Rules of Engagement, Changing Lanes, and many others. Save $10 when you buy 4 Amazon Echo Buttons — $29.98 total

Amazon is running a new promotion that automatically takes $10 off the purchase of 4 Echo Buttons. Echo Buttons are sold in sets of 2 for $19.99, so when you add 2 of the sets to your cart, you’ll see your total automatically reduced to $29.98 at checkout. This is the first time that Echo buttons have ever been on sale. Echo buttons give you a physical way to interact with skills on your Echo devices. They’re still a very new concept, so developer support is limited. Right now, there are 25 Alexa skills that use Echo Buttons. Most of the best ones are games, such as Simon Tap, which requires 4 buttons, and Trivial Pursuit Tap. This promotion ends on April 23rd.

This weekend is your last chance to save on the Fire TV and Fire TV Stick

The Fire TV and the Fire TV Stick have been on sale all week, so this weekend is very likely the last days before their prices go back up. The Amazon Fire TV with 4K and HDR support is on sale for $49.99 and the Amazon Fire TV Stick is on sale for $29.99. Both of those prices are as low as they’ve ever been for non-Prime members. Prime members have seen those prices $5 lower during past sales that were only available to Prime members. While we’re expecting a new premium Fire TV model to be released in the coming months, neither of these two models on sale today will likely be replaced until at least the end of this year or later.

Amazon’s Fire Tablet sale for Prime members ends this weekend

All of Amazon’s Fire tablets are still on sale for Prime members and this weekend is very likely the last days of the sale before prices go back up. The Fire HD 8 for $54.99 and Fire HD 10 for $109.99 are easily the best deals of the bunch because both are just a few bucks above the lowest price that these tablets have ever been. If that’s too much to spend, the Fire 7 for $34.99 is still a good buy because it’s just $5 more than its lowest past sale price. The Fire 7 Kids Edition for $74.99 and the Fire HD 8 Kids Edition for $94.99 are also decent sale prices if you value the 2-year replacement guarantee, 1-year FreeTime membership, and other extras that come with the kids edition tablets.
