Playboy has brought their Playboy Now streaming video app to the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. The app provides access to original videos produced by Playboy, with a promise of 3 new videos per day. While the app doesn’t technically contain any content with nudity, which is why it has been given a ‘Mature’ rating instead of an ‘Adult’ rating, some of the videos come pretty close. All videos within the app are free with no need to login or subscribe. At the moment, there aren’t even any ads in the app, although the entire app could be considered an ad for Playboy’s magazine.

The Playboy Now app divides its content into three main sections: Featured, Series, and Discover. The featured section lists the 3 new daily videos, the most popular content, and the latest content. The Series section lists the various shows that Playboy produces, like Gamer Next Door, Journalista, and Playboy Abroad. The discover section is more of a list of categories for the available videos. Lastly, the app has a search page to find content related to a search term.

Will this app make my new FTV stick overheat? :-)

On a serious note, any more info on the new FTV stick temps? I have been checking, and my 4k FTVs run about 120-125 F. My new FTV stick runs around 155-176 F. These temps are per MrMC/SPMC. From my research, the temps on the stick seem really high for silicon chips. Hopefully I am worried over nothing.

Playboy is out of the nude business. They cant compete.

Doesn’t work. Tried to D/L the app. Says it’s not compatible with AFTV Stick Gen 2. If I log into Amazon, it allows me to send it to my AFTV Stick Gen 1, or AFTV box Gen 1, but not to AFTV Stick Gen 2. It has a red “x” though it. What gives?
