New Fire TV apps of the week — July 1-7

This week there were 34 new apps and games released for the Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick, and Fire TV Edition televisions. A new first-person shooter game called The Unknown City has been released. The "Episode 1" in the title suggests the game will be a series. FlixonTV is a new subscription TV service that arrived this week. Their website says you get over 65 channels for $35 per month. [UPDATE: The legality of FlixonTV is questionable. See comments below.] There are also a couple new 3rd-party YouTube apps, which appear to just be the same app with different names. Continue on for the full list of new apps and games released in the last 7 days.

  1. Robert Kramer says:

I went to there web site, how many hours can you record, and I notice that all locals come out of NY, isn’t that illegal according to FCC, since my area is Columbus Ohio.

  2. Andy says:

Flixontv is just another overpriced iptv service. They will only be around until the FCC realise they are rebroadcasting out of market network channels (in SD only BTW). I am amazed Roku also have an app as they are so strict on anything slightly illegal.
There are better legal ways out there for a similar price.
