Minecraft: Story Mode arrives on 1st and 2nd-Gen Amazon Fire TVs

Telltale Games has brought their highly anticipated latest game, Minecraft: Story Mode, to the 1st and 2nd generation Amazon Fire TV. Unlike Minecraft, the most popular game on the Fire TV, which has never had a story and has always been about making your own fun, this game guides you in a story driven adventure where you make decisions that determine the game’s outcome. Those familiar with Telltale’s well-established formula will feel right at home. As with all of Telltale’s games, Minecraft: Story Mode will be released in 5 episodes. Buying the game now will unlock the first episode, with additional episodes becoming available in the future via in-app purchase. Alternately, you can buy all future episodes upfront now by purchasing a Season Pass, at a discounted price, via in-app purchase. The game is not compatible with the Fire TV Stick, and you’ll need a game controller to play.

U.S. only it seems at the moment.

  2. Matt says:

Unsure why this isn’t compatible on Fire TV Stick. Should be able to handle it no problem given the gameplay.
