Amazon Fire TV Cube is on sale for $89.99 — Lowest Price Ever

Amazon has just put the Fire TV Cube on sale for $89.99. This deal matches the lowest price the Fire TV Cube has ever been. This is the same price that the Fire TV Cube was reduced to for Prime Day, so it’s likely that we won’t see a price lower than this for some time. This is also the first time that Amazon has offered a price this low for the Cube to the general public. All past sales have been for Prime members only. Also on sale today is the Fire TV 3 for $39.99.

Any suggestions on how/where to sell my mint condition FTV 2 (eBay, etc)? I don’t believe there is any trade-in allowance for existing Amazon streaming devices, is that coooect? Thanks in advance for any and all help/suggestions/advice!

Yeah, eBay or Craigslist are your best bet. You’re correct, there are no trade-in incentives right now for Fire TVs.

Thanks for the feedback…is there much of a demand or market for Fire TV2’s out there these days?

They’re still selling pretty well, but prices do keep dropping, so best to sell soon. They were going for over $100 right after the Fire TV 3 came out and the Fire TV 2 was discontinued. Now it looks like they’re going for around $70. You can still get them refurbished from Amazon for $84.99 when they come back in stock every few weeks, so that’s probably capping the resale price.

I tried to use my trade-in credit for $35 for the Fire TV Cube. However, since it was already $30 off it would only allow me a $5 credit. I checked the Fire TV 3, and it would not let me use the credit at all.

That’s interesting. On Prime Day I was able to use my trade-in credit and got $35 off the $89.99 price. I guess perhaps they fixed their system to exclude sales now. Thanks for letting us know.

Has anyone had issues with the cube not switching to cable anymore? It says there are no linked video skills that can do that, it used to work, very strange…

I’m down to my final ftv2 I will ever own and once again am tempted to move to the dongle while it’s so cheap. I can sell my ftv2 for what the dongle costs, but relying on Wi-Fi is something I don’t do. I would need an Ethernet adapter.
