Earlier this week, some customers who pre-ordered the Amazon Echo Spot, including myself, received an email from Amazon informing them that their devices would arrive on December 25th or later, instead of on the device’s December 19th release day. It turns out those emails were sent by mistake and Amazon has sent a second email last night, which I too have received, correcting the estimated delivery date back to December 19th.
Amazon released a statement to TechCrunch saying:
“The emails sent to customers claiming Echo Spot would be delivered on December 25 or later are inaccurate. We can confirm all customers who have ordered an Echo Spot to date will receive their order no later than December 22, before Christmas. We apologize for the inconvenience.”
So if you pre-ordered the Echo Spot, or have plans to pre-order one before they’re released, you can rest assured that your device will be delivered in time for Christmas.
