Amazon buys rights to Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s new KKK movie

Amazon has picked up the rights to a film being made by Joseph Gordon-Levitt about the rise of the Klu Klux Klan, titled K Troop. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is still in very early stages of production and, while Levitt is onboard as a producer, he may or may not star in the film. The film’s title refers to the special US military division, K Troop, that battled the KKK when the hate group first formed. Levitt would play Major Lewis Merrill, K Troops’ division leader, if he stars in the film.
