Amazon begins sending out Echo Look invitations

Amazon has started sending out invitations to purchase the Echo Look, their new Alexa powered “style assistant” with a built-in camera and speaker. I’ve just received an invitation myself and other readers have informed me that they received one today as well. While I’m probably not the demographic this device was intended for, nor are most of you, I’ve taken one for the team and bought one to review. Look for an article soon, fashion selfies and all, with my detailed overview and opinions on what is easily Amazon’s strangest device.

I’m still not sold on this one. It seems to be only for such a specific demographic. But I look forward to your review!

I’m sure they have much bigger plans for this device

I can only imagine the potential for adult uses of this device. Voice controlled Still and video camera in the bedroom.

How is Amazon going to address nudity?

I wonder if the Echo Look and Echo Show will work in tandem? I can just imagine the new Alexa skills that will be written for these devices.

Amazon really should have sent you one for free because of all the hard work you do keeping people up-to-date on Fire TV products.

You’d have to be out of your mind to put one of these in your home. The echo was bad enough, now this?

I am still waiting for an invitation. Why would Amazon engage this practice of selling their new devices? Do they not think I’m as good as other people who are getting the invitations? I have been with Amazon for decades and I think I’m the type of customer they rely on. I order from Amazon at least three or four times a month and more during the holidays.
